Who We Are |
Grand View is an Endowment Care cemetery, which means that a portion of the purchase price of every burial space is added to a permanent endowment trust account, the earnings of which may only be used for the care and maintenance of the memorial park. In addition, the new owners of Grand View have committed significant expenditures to re-opening, refurbishing and enhancing the memorial park and its facilities to take full advantage of the warm, tranquil setting nestled against the foothills of Glendale.
If you wish more information on burials or cremations, please call or come by for a visit. Our staff will be happy to show you our facilities and explain the options that are available for you and your loved ones. Please note that while the memorial park is open daily, the office is closed Sunday and Monday. If you wish to visit with our staff please plan on visiting Tuesday to Saturday. |
Our History |
Grand View was opened in 1884 as Glendale Cemetery. In the 1920's it was renamed Grand View Memorial Park and in the following years a mausoleum that stretches over 1,000 feet was added to form the western wall of the cemetery. The memorial park has over 40,000 burials and in the near future we will have an on-line search tool that will allow you to search for your family members or others that are interred at Grand View.
Lisa Burks has been very kind over the years to keep a record of the history of Grand View and has a website under construction that will be called Grand View History. We will make the link available once that is ready. |
